King size & Queen size, whats the saw a difference?

1. Width

The major classification about the name of bed depends on width.  The width of king size bed is 76 inches (193cms) whereas the width of queen size bed is 60 inches (152cms). This makes width per person as 38inches for long size and 30inches for queen size.

P.S. – If you’re thinking about length, then don’t get surprised as they both are equal in length that is 80inches (203 cms).

2. Popularity

Queen size is the most popular bed that accounts for 32% of mattress purchase whereas king size being least popular that accounts for 7% of the mattress purchase.

3. Cost

King size beds are expensive than queen size beds because of width and size, more raw materials are used to manufacture king size.

The main reason behind the difference is the price of a queen size bed is comparatively lower, the area acquired is less and can fit in the normal bedroom, on the other hand, king size bed needs a master bedroom to accommodate.
